PURCHASING SPECIALIST

Job Responsibilities :

  • Ensure that all purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive purchasing manual that outlines the steps and processes for purchasing.
  • Analyze spending patterns and identify areas where can achieve cost savings.
  • Develop and implement cost reduction strategies to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of purchasing activities.
  • Provide regular reports on purchasing activities to senior management. Ensure that all reports are accurate and delivered on time.
  • Analyze of historical data of the purchase and support in the definition of purchasing strategies
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Involve in continuous improvements in areas of lead-time, cost reductions that meet organizational goal which includes risk management.
  • Review, Monitoring, Coaching and develop purchasing department team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cost-effective solutions.

 

Qualification :

  • Male / Female age not over 35 years old.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is required.         A  master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in purchasing, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Good command of spoken and written in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of purchasing principles and practices.
  • Proactive, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with suppliers, employees, and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency and attention to details.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Results-oriented mentality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
